We know what you are thinking... "Another keychain flashlight?" But before you pass judgement on us, let us point out a few things about Nitecore's new TIP flashlight that make it an absolute must have. Firstly, it is 360 lumens in something about the size of a pack of gum; that's over 4x brighter than most keychain flashlights. Secondly, it is constructed of a hard anodized metal alloy so it is incredibly rugged and has a nice quality feel to it. Lastly, it has a two button operation which makes quickly accessing your optimum brightness a breeze. The dual buttons also allow for locking the flashlight against accidental activation.
Like the TIP's little sister the
TUBE, the TIP has a built in Li-Ion battery that can be quickly recharged via its built in Micro USB jack. The TIP's built in 500mAh battery can power the unit's CREE LED for up to 46 hours!
Nitecore's TIP offers 4 different output levels: Ultralow, Mid, High, and Turbo. Ultralow and Turbo can be quickly accessed from the off position using the two buttons. All modes can be accessed through the mode button while the TIP is powered on.
Behind the TIP's buttons is a dual purposed LED indicator. When connected to USB the LED indicates whether the battery is charged (green) or charging (red). When the unit is not connected to USB power and is powered off, a quick press of the Mode button reveals the battery's current charge level.
