Sizing: This QBit is designed for our Arlington LV1 and Carlon SC100RR. If you aren't sure which QBit you need, please visit our Qbit Sizing Page.

Labor Saving Systems, the manufacturer that brought us the Magnepull and the Magnespot, has released an amazing new product called the QBit! Just like the Magnepull and the Magnespot, once you own a QBit you will wonder how you ever lived without it. If your job requires you to cut in wall boxes in drywall we highly recommend that you invest in this tool! The QBit fits on virtually any Multi-Tool and turns it into a hole making machine! Unlike a drywall saw which leaves unsightly ragged edges, the QBit makes a perfect hole every time and it does it quick!

Frequently Asked Questions:

How is the dust? The clever mechanics of the QBit result in 50% less dust! Unlike a drywall saw that continually pulls the dust back out of the wall, the Q-Bit continually moves inward drastically minimizing dust!

How long does it last? While we don't have an exact number, QBit's manufacturer has tested the QBit to 500 cuts with no signs of wear to the tool. So simply put, QBit will last you a VERY long time!

Will it Fit my Multi-Tool? QBit was designed to fit all popular tools such as DeWalt, Milwaukee, Bosch, Fein, etc. If your Multi-Tool has a different connection type on it, Bosch makes a little adapter (OIS001B) for less than $4 that allows you to adapt to the standard size (available in most hardware stores).

Does it Cut Wood? No. The Q-Bit is designed specifically for drywall.

What boxes does it fit? QBit was designed to cover a broad range size. Per QBits manufacturer it fits Carlon (Blue / Orange), Arlington, and most boxes you'll find on Tech Tool Supply as well as your local hardware stores. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions on box size.

Do I need an Adapter? In order to get optimal performance out of your QBit, we suggest trying the QBit without any adapters. In some cases the QBit will not work at all if you have an unneeded adapter installed. Majority of tools that we have tested do not need any adapters.

How long does it take to cut? This truly depends on the make and power of your Multitool. For example, a 20V DeWalt Multitool is going to cut the hole much faster than a 12V DeWalt Multitool. The more power your tool outputs, the faster it cuts.

    2 of 5 Use is questionable April 26, 2019

I've been cutting holes in walls for a very long time and in my opinion I would not use this tool to replace my trusty hand saw. It is not fast or at least not as fast at removing material as a good drywall saw. It is very noisy and because most environments where you may need to add a hole are occupied offices, businesses etc it creates a very loud obnoxious noise.
I think the manufacturer has a great idea but needs a little more R&D on the tooth and cut design, needs to be a little more aggressive. Might work well putting a clean hole in paneling and other materials but not the best on drywall.

    5 of 5 Amazing Device-Must Have! October 23, 2018

A friend recommended this to me for installations. I had been using a Rotozip tool to accomplish these cut outs. I used this new tool a day before writing this review. Oh my goodness! This is the way to go installers! I hope the guys that invented this are enjoying the golf course now. They deserve it. Simple, quick, very clean cut, could not ask for anything any better. I highly recommend every installer have one of these in their truck.

    5 of 5 Great tool! November 3, 2017
Reviewer: Jeremy Fehrenbacher from Kansas City , MO United States
I purchased the original QBit and didn't use it much as the hole required some adjusting to use my mud rings.  Once this version came out, I gave it a second chance and BOOM!, they nailed it.  I now use the QBit for every mud ring!  Really like the tool, I'm anxious to test it's longevity.
