    This kit is called deluxe but really, it is just basic. In the videos, the system is used in ideal situations like smooth interior walls, little insulation, short pulls, etc. The reality is that it works well within certain conditions. I'm pleased with the product because I've not depended on it but use it for convenience and on shorter pulls.

    The bullets do not do well with plaster and lathe. But the real disappointment is the locator. It relies on a heavy duty thumbtack of which they only include one in the kit. You need about 20 because they get lost in job site debris. But tacks aside,  the locator is so wimpy it's not worth putting in the box. I have used this only because I understood that I had to get the wand to within an inch of the magnet. Most of the time I rely on other methods. The next level locator should be included in the kit but not at the current pricing.

    The Magnepull works well, but it's not the only tool to fish with.
