Great tool but... March 1, 2020 Reviewer: Vincent Cinalli Jr. from Sewell, NJ United States   I love this mapper!  The only thing I can complain about is the case wears out after a month of use.  The zipper starts shredding and the pulls break making the case useless.  I work as cable tech and I carry this everywhere and need the case to be durable.  Can we get a way to just order a replacement case? 8 way coax mapper May 31, 2019 Reviewer: Daniel S from San Diego, CA United States   Overall a great time saving device. I only used it as a cable mapper, not some of the other functions such as a toner and cable testing - I am assuming the cable resistance testing. The mapper worked so well for the money if the other functions work it is really a great value for the price. A couple reasons to drop one star is there in not a way to store F 81's attached to the numbered fittings inside the case. There are 4 open spots in the case to load a couple fittings to keep with the mapper but it would be nice to be able to keep them threaded together. Another idea would be to include a push on F connector for the display side of the tester. Threading the tester on to each piece of coax may add some wear an tear to the port the barrel screws into. Not a big deal and again, for the cost this is a great value. Was this review helpful to you?

Great tool at a great price May 28, 2019 Reviewer: Q from spokane, WA United States   I have worked in the telco industry for 6-7 years. I have worked as a contractor for the cable company, the telephone company,  in-house for a WISP, and currently run my own IT/Networking company. I wish I had bought this when I was working for the cable company.  I usually used a $20 cable mapper used 4 colored terminators for the mapping. This maps 8 and the case zips down the right way to leave it on your belt/pocket when in use. The actual mapper would likely fall out if you tried walking with the case open but all 8 terminators are held in place great. It has 4 extra holes beyond the 8 for the terminators which I plan on making F to CAT5 adaptors that will hopefully fit in those places. I have not had a chance to use this in the field as of yet but have tested it with a few cables in my house. No issues seen. I tried using the tone generator and was unable to get a tone from my non-contact emitter but I had not read the instructions so that could be my fault. Was this review helpful to you?

Great Toner BUT April 22, 2018 Reviewer: Gary Feith from Berlin, MD United States   I really like this toner the replaceable barrel is a big selling point for me. Only down side is I go thru 1 a year due to the soldering points that hold the barrel go out and it becomes very wobbly. Was this review helpful to you?

Excellent product. August 4, 2017 Reviewer: Raymond Green from Bradenton, FL United States   I work on recreational vehicles and often times someone brings in a coach that  someone has removed all the electronics and left the cable compartment looking like a bowl of spaghetti. Often times these coaches have 3 or 4 TV's, an antenna coax, a cable TV run and a satellite run. The 8-way mapper comes in handy. Was this review helpful to you?

Find one then look for another & it would take a lot of time. Now find multiple lines at once & cut down the time spent in a customer's house. Best cable mapper i've had so far June 18, 2016 Reviewer: Brian from MI United States   I watched videos and read reviews on this mapper before i purchased. Honestly, as a Directv tech, this has all the other mappers beat. Its the only 8 way mapper i have had the luxury of using that allows you to purchase either 1-4 toners, 5-8 toners, or all 8 toners if you misplace them (which i always happen to leave one at a customers home). Another great option is being able to replace the battery when it gets low, so you dont have to purchase another one when this happens. Lastly is the ability to have it engraved, which would have saved me so many times in the past. The only downfall that i have been able to point out is the cheap carrying case that it comes in...the belt clip is not fixed securely to the case and its a real pain, but most times it stays in my Klein toolbag until i need to use it, so not much of a big deal to me. Overall, i couldnt be happier. Works well, easy to use, and flexibility with parts. Great buy and greta tool!!! Was this review helpful to you?
