How about the ability to see exactly how much current a device is drawing from your USB port? This compact USB tester is the tool you've been looking for.

The V20 has a USB A Plug on one end and a USB A Jack on the other. Simply add it inline with your USB device and let the brilliant OLED display answer all of your USB power related questions. The display shows three valuable readings; USB Voltage, Current being drawn by your USB device, and Capacity. Lastly in the upper right hand corner the device shows you the time connected.

    USB 2 ports max out at 500ma.  But. many devices these days actually draw more than that.  Not a problem on a USB 3 port that can source 900ma, but it's good to know exactly how much current a device is actually using.
