The plated steel tubular body is made thicker for the heavier covers found on electric utility manholes, and the lever gives a real mechanical advantage on a stuck or heavy lid.

This is the complete kit: all three heat-treated steel J-Hook keys, small, medium and large, on a galvanized chain.
Swap hooks to fit the pick hole on whatever cover is in front of you. The spiked foot keeps the lifter planted on dirt, sand, ice or snow while you pry.
