The patent pending PCT Insertion Tool (PCT-IT) is designed as a versatile, multi-purpose cable installer’s aid for prepping cable and inserting connectors onto cable. By eliminating possible out of spec situations and possible oversights made in the field, the PCT-IT tool adds additional safeguards assuring that your installations are the best they can be without future issues due to improperly prepped cable and jumpers in the field.
Using integrated gauge holes drilled at the upper SCTE limit for RG6 Series Tri-shield and Quad-shield cable (per SCTE IPS SP 001), the PCT-IT tool assures that the core (dielectric and center conductor) of any RG6 cable will easily fit into the appropriate PCT-IT hole and that the core’s diameter is within the spec.
The PCT-IT tool is used to identify out-of-spec cable with five, quick and easy uses and also helps install a connector onto difficult cable.
