This kit includes everything you need to properly terminate most CAT6A cable with RJ45 ends. It includes the Platinum Tools EXO crimper, which consists of the EXO tool and EXO-EX Die. This kit is designed to work with .043in-.048in conductors with a max overall jacket diameter of .290in (typically CAT6A).

What's so special about EZ-RJ45: the patented EZ-RJ45 Connector simplifies twisted pair terminations by allowing the wires to be inserted through the connector and out the front. This allows the technician to easily verify the proper wiring order. Electrical performance of the termination is optimized by pulling the connector down over the cable jacket and seating it tightly in the rear of the connector - reducing the distance between the wire twists and contacts improves performance. Reduces scrap, no wasted crimps. Crimp with the patented EXO-EX Die and EXO Tool, which crimps and trims in one cycle. Manufactured in the USA. Patented.
The EXO Crimp Frame is engineered to let users swap out dies as needed and avoid having to purchase an entirely new tool. Dies are available for EZ-RJ45 (not included) as well as the ezEX-RJ45 connectors (included). The included EXO-EX die is designed specifically for the ezEX-RJ45 connector, which was engineered for terminating larger diameter twisted-pair cables with conductor sizes up to .048in by staggering each conductor. As with all EZ connectors, the wiring can be quickly verified by the wires protruding before crimping. ezEX-RJ45 connectors can only be crimped with the EXO crimper and EXO-EX Die.
One feature that stood out to our team is the "click" you hear once the connector is in the crimper - it means it is the right connector for the die and it is ready to crimp. The push button lock makes the tool easy to put back into your tool bag; in the locked position the die is firmly secured in the frame and will not fall out.
The EXO-EX Die (part number: PLA-100071C) included with this crimper is not backward compatible with current EZ-RJ45 connectors. This die must only be used with ezEX44 and ezEX48 connectors.
