Klein has been building climbing equipment since linemen strung the first telegraph poles, and the CN1907AR is their complete tree climber set: leg irons, stirrups, pads, straps, and 2-3/4" gaffs — everything but the tree.
The extra-long gaffs are the tree-specific detail: designed for maximum penetration through bark to solid wood, where shorter pole gaffs won't reach reliably.
Fit and comfort get real engineering.
The sleeve and leg iron connection adjusts in 1/4" (6 mm) increments to dial in length — measure from your instep to 1" below the knee to size — and the contoured leg irons position the gaffs securely against the leg for a confident, comfortable stance on the spur. The 4-7/16" wide stirrup spreads load across the boot for greater foot support during long climbs, 8" x 8" cushioned high-grade climber pads protect the shin, and neoprene-impregnated nylon straps take years of weather and sweat without rotting.
Serviceability is built in: the gaffs are replaceable, attaching to the leg iron with a center pin and two TORX screws, and a steel split ring secures the ankle strap while allowing quick strap replacement.
