PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Punchdown blades are consumables — the cutting edge that trims conductors flush dulls with every termination, and a dull blade turns clean punches into pushed-loose wires and half-cut tails.
The Eclipse 700-009 is the type-110 replacement blade that keeps the impact tool honest: a dual-design blade with a cutting end on one side and a non-cutting end on the other.

Both ends earn their place.
The cut end seats the conductor into the 110 IDC contact and trims the excess flush in the same strike — the standard move for jacks, patch panels, and 110 cross-connect blocks. Flip to the non-cut end when the wire needs to continue to the next position: daisy-chained runs, bridged pairs, and any termination where trimming would cut the circuit.

The twist-and-lock shank secures firmly and releases easily, fitting Eclipse's 700-007 handle along with most standard twist-lock punchdown handles on the market.
At this price, the right move is the pro move: keep a fresh one in the case, punch with a sharp edge, and retire blades before they cost you callbacks.

This blade will get the job done, but you have to double check all of your punches.  It has a bad habit of not seating the wire in the IDC of CAT6 jacks.  I punched over 90 jacks today and had 12 with bad connections.
