    This might be easier to use with a much stronger cordless drill.  I have used this same tool with the same cordless in two different houses.  The first time I used an even less powerful cordless that failed during operation. My newer cordless got the job done but it was a struggle.  I was cutting a 9 5/8 " hole for ceiling speakers and the hole cutter got the job done.  I would recommend this to anyone wanting to accomplish the same project.

    I do a lot of work installing in-ceiling speakers and this is the best tool I've found for cutting the large-diameter holes necessary. Cuts through ceiling tile with ease -- all you need is a drill. Used this cutter on a job recently and other workers actually came out to marvel at how easy and quick it was to cut the holes we needed. This is the only place I've found this particular cutter so thanks TechToolSupply!

    It does the job. It is a cheap but effective tool that does the trick and with minimal clean up. When using it you have to learn this tool and materials you are using it on. The trick behind it is not to push hard. be patient and let the tool groove the lines out and a steady but gentle pressure and you will make perfect circles in no time.

    This device will cut a hole put I couldn't get it all the way through without damaging the outer part of the drywall. This was for holes for my ceiling speakers. I cut the rest out with a steak knife. What ever you do practice on a cardboard box. I had to keep adjusting before it was set even on both sides.
