How do I return an item?
As with everything we do at Tech Tool Supply, Customer satisfaction is top priority. Because of the technical nature of the products we sell, we ask that customers call us with product issues prior to initiating a return. More times than not, our expert staff can help resolve your issues right over the phone. In the rare cases they can't, we will work with you to quickly process your return or exchange. Prior to calling us, please have a look at our policies below to make sure your item qualifies for returning. If your item qualifies for a return, please give us a call at 877-208-6657 and we will get it processed ASAP!
Several security tools Tech Tool Supply sells are Non-Returnable. Items such as Slam Lock Keys and other CATV industry security tools can not be returned. Items that are Non-Returnable will clearly list it on their product details page.
14-Day Return Period
The following items must be returned to us within 14 Days of delivery: Satellite Signal Meters, CATV Signal Level Meters, Modulators, Amplifiers, Sonora Equipment, Telephone Test Sets, Head-End Electronic Equipment, and other Test equipment.
30-Day Return Period
All other items must be returned to us within 30 Days of delivery.
Condition of Returns:
In order for an item to qualify for a Return, it must be received back to us in the same condition you received it in. This means sealed in it's original packaging with all accessories, manuals, etc.
Returns Missing Items:
In rare situations if you return an item missing packaging, manuals, accessories, we will attempt to work with the manufacturer to get the missing items. Any costs associated with replacing the missing items will be deducted from the customers refund.
Orders that Shipped Free
In the event you need to return any product that was Shipped Free by Tech Tool Supply, the original shipping cost paid by Tech Tool Supply will be deducted from your refund amount.
We never want anyone to be stuck with a product they do not want. In many cases if you want to return an item outside Tech Tool Supply's Return Period, we can sometimes work with the product's manufacturer to take the item back. In these situations there is typically a 15%-30% Restocking fee (percentage varies on manufacturer). In these cases the item has to be brand new and unopened. Returns outside of our return period are handled on a case by case basis as not all manufacturers allow returns.
Damaged or Misrepresented Returns
Sometimes there can be confusion in regards to the type of a return. If an item is received that was abused, misrepresented, or otherwise does not meet our Return criteria, it will be returned to the customer at the customer's expense.
Customers returning a product because they purchased too many, or changed their mind, are responsible for shipping the product back at their expense. If you would like us to send you a shipping label, we can email you a FedEx shipping label and its cost will be deducted from your refund amount.
Pre-Paid Shipping Labels
If your return is the result of incorrect information on our website, please point out the incorrect information on the website so we can correct it. In the case of incorrect website information, we will send you a Pre-Paid Shipping Label at no cost to you.
Defective Items Shipping Labels
If after talking to our tech support staff a product is deemed defective, we will send you a Pre-Paid Shipping Label and once your defective item is received, we will send you a replacement. Please note we only offer Pre-Paid Shipping Labels for exchanges of defective items.
