In commercial and MDU DIRECTV installations, the LNBs can't rely on receivers for power and polarity control — the dish feeds a distribution system, not a set-top box.
The Holland SD-PI6S solves both problems in one 6-port unit: it supplies the voltages and control signals to power a DIRECTV SL5 SlimLine LNB and locks each of the four dish outputs to a fixed polarity, so every downstream multiswitch and tap sees a stable, predictable stack.
Two additional FLEX ports extend the system: 20 V on FLEX1 and 13 V on FLEX2 to power the 95-degree LNB on a DTV66E dish or other auxiliary LNBs.
That covers the full SL5-plus-international-dish headend on one chassis, and DC also passes through to power downstream line amplification — such as the TAM P6R 03 amplifier — from the same 2-amp supply.
Diagnostics are built into the face of the unit.
The DC input indicator glows green above 24 volts and red below 23 volts, and a single unlit LED flags a short circuit on that input — a nighttime service call starts with a glance at the LEDs instead of a meter on every port. All six ports pass 5-2400 MHz with low insertion loss (0.5 dB typical), and the unit runs from a 24 VDC, 2 A supply (Holland PS242000-style transformer, sold separately — or see the SD-PI6S-T version which includes it).
