Ripley Miller's STR Steel Tape Remover easily opens/separates the steel tape armor on fiber optic cable. It's unique counter rotation mechanism opens steel tape armor in 2 1/2 - 3 1/2 turns allowing for cutting of the armor.

Features:

Accommodates steel tape armor from 1-2 mm OD

Neodymium rare earth magnet holds tool halves together making operation easy

Tool totally heat treated for long life

Screw clamps are high-strength allow steel

1.5in (38.1mm) outside diameter fits comfortably in your hand
