The PPC 40-43008 drive hook is the pole-side anchor for aerial drops: drive it into the pole or structure and hang bail-type drop wire clamps, rams horns, and span attachments from it. Fetter drive threads bite in fast and hold, so a lineman can set it with hand tools and trust the attachment through wind and ice load.

Hot-dip galvanizing to ASTM A153 or B695 keeps the hook working through decades of outdoor plant exposure - it will outlast the drop it supports.
