Durable high impact plastic housing is molded from yellow plastic to make it easier to locate. Long life blade.

Purchased this to work with 23awg cat6a cable (with spine) and it will not score the cable jacket at all.

Excellent little tool! A turn or two is all it takes for a perfect strip without the slightest nick of the internal wire pairs. Much quicker than stripping a couple of inches from the cable and then using the zip string to strip the cable back another couple of inches to insure no nicks on the twisted pairs.

the cable stripper works well for cat5E with no nicks in the insulation, however I was not happy when I received the tool and in stated on the back of package that the stripper was not to be used with PLENUM JACKETS !
If I knew that before I bought it, I wouldn't have purchased it. I need a universal jacket stripper tool. This tool has its limits, but works.
