The 740C is Platinum Tools' full IP67 waterproof and dustproof splice coupler — for the Ethernet connections that live in genuinely hostile places.
Wireless towers, security systems, outdoor entertainment venues, industrial manufacturing, LED lighting, emergency communications, marinas: the applications Platinum designed it around. The female-to-female coupler joins two RJ45-terminated cables inside a sealed black nylon body, protecting the splice from water, dust, corrosion, harsh elements, and vibration.

The gasketed screw-mating system is what separates it from snap-together weatherproof housings.
End housings slide onto the cables before termination, then thread down onto the coupler body for a positive, gasketed mechanical seal that can't work loose on a pole or machine mount. And a detail that matters for shielded plant: an internal ground link in the coupler body carries shield continuity when used with internal-ground shielded connectors — so STP and FTP runs stay bonded straight through the splice.

Rated Cat5e and Cat6, UTP and STP, for cable jackets from 5.5 to 7.0 mm (0.216"-0.276") OD, across -20°C to +80°C.
At 5.0" x 1.125" the inline body disappears against strand and conduit, and installation is quick: housings on, terminate, thread, torque. RoHS compliant. Note: RJ45 connectors are not included — terminate with your standard plugs.
