Arlington's TVL508 is the low-profile answer for flat-screen power: a 5" x 8" recessed TV BOX™ that keeps plugs inside the box so the TV mounts closer to the wall. It installs on 1/2" or 5/8" drywall with wall cavities as shallow as 3/4" - which makes it the pick when plumbing or other obstructions run in the cavity, or on furring strips over concrete block and 2x2, 2x3, or 2x4 framing, new work or retrofit.
Mounting wing screws pull the box tight to the wall, and inside there is generous room for multiple cables with brackets for tying them off neatly. A UL Listed decorator-style receptacle is included, and the assembly is cULus Listed.
