It's a good case. Much larger than I expected. If you buy the full kit VDV scout or VDV scout II it's the same case that comes with it.
I bought it to try to fit the craftsman rebranded version of the original VDV scout. The remotes fit perfectly but the unit is too fat due to the different plastic mold for the case. You can cut the case to fit the craftsman, just need a razor blade long enough to do it. I haven't yet, still deciding whether I will.
Good excuse to get a VDV scout II I guess.
So for my particular use, it's a 2 star product. For someone with the proper meter, it's a 4 star product. Nothing wrong with it I just wish Klein would redesign it to be taller/thinner to fit better in my tool bags and boxes. For size reference, it's just a little too big to fit in an MCT Veto but does fit in a Tech Pac and a Tech XL if they aren't too full of tools already.
