The Nitecore EDC27 is a high-performance EDC flashlight that boasts an ultra-slim and flat design. Equipped with dual Luminus SST40 LEDs, it can emit a maximum of 3000 lumens, making it an ideal choice for scouting and searching activities. The TIR style lens ensures a wide flood beam that can reach a maximum beam throw of 240 yards, providing maximum illumination. Despite its compact size, the EDC27 is 44% thinner than most standard flashlights, making it easy to carry in your pocket. Made of durable stainless steel and coated with titanium-colored PVD, the EDC27 is not only strong, but also rated IP54 for water resistance and impact resistance, ensuring that it won't bend in your pocket.     Great flashlight.  I've been a Nitecore user for a few years now.  This is my first rechargeable.  It's very slim and fits in the pocket nicely.  I was mostly attracted to the lock feature.  I've burnt up many batteries over the years from lights getting turned on in the pocket.  The lock takes a bit to unlock so if you need a rapid turn on,  it's about a 3 second process.  Recharge time is about 30 minutes.  The remaining battery time on the display is a great feature and as far as brightness goes.... this thing is like the face of an Jesus. The person on the receiving end is guaranteed to see stars for a good 10 minutes.  On turbo mode,  this thing gets HOT....FAST. I've even used it to heat shrink a small tube and almost got it to light off a firework.  A little more patience and I think it would've lit.

    Overall it's been a great light so far and even though it looks like a vape device, I'd definitely buy again.
