Tweak Works on Hardiplank May 14, 2019 Reviewer: Rod G from Apex, NC United States   The product is designed for a 5" shingle, but Hardiplank is 7". No Hole in Existing Walls November 6, 2018 Reviewer: STEVEN from Fuquay Varina, NC United States   This is the third set of these I have purchased. Although these are best for remodel lighting it is also great for New Construction. These are designed for D4 (4/4) vinyl siding - so if you have a D4.5 there is going to be a gap at that next overlap but this is minimal compared to fitting a new box into an existing wall. Planning for the exact height of an outside light is a two person effort. One holds and the other sez - "there - right there". That doesn't work so well when you can't see it next to a door or garage or back porch and the fact that the only hole you have is for the 14/2 wire to pull thru the vinyl siding into the mount makes it a cinch for wiring. Screw this onto wall and place your lights' back support onto the mount and mount your light. Done. Simple. Was this review helpful to you?

Good product, good price. October 4, 2017 Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Long Valley, NJ United States   Just what I needed to mount a few outdoor lights with larger backplates.  They fit perfectly on our vinyl siding, & have a nice appearance.  The price was the best I could find online, by far.  I was a bit disappointed that they showed as in-stock when I placed my order, but I quickly received an email saying they were out of stock.  This wasn't an urgent requirement, so no big deal.  They shipped a few days later.
