5 of 5 Fast January 5, 2022

Very fast to untwist the pairs, helps to save your fingers tips! it does take a few times to know just how much pressure to put on the wires when inserting them into the tool. After about my 3rd wire, I had it down. I also liked the bright led lights on the front of the tool as sometimes I am in small darker spots working on repairs.

5 of 5 Tips for others December 18, 2021
Reviewer: Paul from GUAM
For technicians, I would start with the tool they are using to cut the wire. Snips / Electrician scissors should be in good cutting condition. Sharp and used only for cutting 24-26awg wire.  We all know that a good number of technicians use their snips as their cut/open all-around tool  There’s a huge difference on the cut edge as compared to using paper scissors that will leave the ends all bent up.

Next is the length of wire they are trying to untwist. 2” is sufficient enough for EZ RJ45 Crimper or Connecting Block Termination. Anything longer you will need to support the conductor as you’re untwisting to keep it from bending. Plus it’s a higher chance of the conductors getting caught up on the untwist tool edge.

Now it’s a matter of understanding the wire twist factor as each pair varies from one another,    the untwist tool spinning ratio versus the pushing force applied ( by either the hand holding the conductors or the hand holding the untwist tool).

Putting all this together just takes some practice in order to get successful, but it sure beats using your fingers and fingernails or even using the outer sheathing jacket to untwist.

5 of 5 Finger Saver right here December 16, 2021
Reviewer: Nick Sayle from United States
I saw the product on one of the TTS emails an I had to try it with my next project (10000 drops). It took me few tries to figure out the right amount of pressure but after that it works as advertised. Quick tip for everyone - it is definitely helpful if your flush cuts are sharp. I hope they’ll make the version for Cat7. Highly Recommended tool.

5 of 5 Brilliant Idea December 16, 2021
Reviewer: Caleb Brown from United States
It took years for someone to create so simple but highly useful tool in our industry. I wish I had this 15 years ago when I started with terminations. Now they should focus on cable stretcher :)
All jokes a side - brilliant idea and execution. 3D printing is magic it seems.

5 of 5 Buy It December 11, 2021
Reviewer: Sean Jones from Voorhees, NJ
As a low voltage contractor who has been around for a while I never thought untwisting pairs would become my biggest concern. However, as the technology rolls on and things change anyone who has been around as long as myself will tell you there is a substantial difference between untwisting cat5e and cat6. So much so, that big cut down days were starting to be a literal pain. This tool works, give it a shot, and your fingers will thank you.
