Ripley Miller 80935 CB281 Replacement Blade Kit for MSAT® 5 Mid-Span Access Tool - 5 Blades

The Ripley Miller 80935 is a replacement blade kit supplying five CB281 cutting blades and two mounting screws for the MSAT-5 Mid-Span Access Tool (part number 80930), Ripley's listed replacement blade for that tool. The MSAT-5 performs mid-span access on loose-tube fiber optic cables - opening the buffer tube at a mid-point along a cable run without nicking or severing the optical fibers inside. These blades are the consumable cutting element and must be replaced periodically to maintain clean, fiber-safe cuts.

Each CB281 blade seats into the MSAT-5's blade pocket and is secured with the included screw using a #2 Phillips head screwdriver. Before removing a worn blade, technicians should note its orientation in the pocket to ensure correct reinstallation of the new blade. The MSAT-5 accommodates buffer tube diameters from 1.9mm to 3.0mm across its five channels, and these blades support that full size range. Used blades should be handled with caution and disposed of appropriately. This kit fits only the Ripley Miller MSAT-5 and is not interchangeable with the 3-channel MSAT (sometimes listed as MSAT-3), the MSAT-16, or other mid-span access tool variants.
