Ripley Cablematic CB 209 Replacement Slitter Blade (36343) for MWS 500 & MWSS Series

The Ripley Cablematic CB 209 (part #36343) is the OEM replacement slitter blade for the MWS500 Messengered Web Slitter (Ripley part #37037). This straight-edged tool steel blade performs the web-separation cut that frees the messenger wire from the coaxial cable jacket, enabling pole clamping, dead-end attachment, and mid-span cable preparation. It is the correct factory replacement for maintaining clean, consistent cuts on the MWS500 without any field adjustment required.

Beyond the MWS500, the CB 209 blade is also compatible with the MWSS 400 (#37045), MWSS 500 (#37033), MWSS 700 (#37023), MWSS 800 (#37039), and the DCS Drop Cable Slitter (#36340). The MWSS-series tools add a shaving function alongside slitting, but share the CB 209 slitting blade and spring-loaded blade shield design. Cable compatibility for the MWS500 includes CommScope QR 500, CommScope QR 540, CommScope P3 500 JCAM, Times Fiber T10 500 MS and Times Fiber TX 565 MS. Replace the CB 209 blade at the first sign of a ragged or inconsistent cut to protect cable jacket integrity.
