The Arlington BE2X fixes two problems in one part: a set-back box and a butchered wall opening. Like Arlington's standard extenders, it levels and supports devices in 2-gang boxes set back up to 1-1/2" from the wall surface, bringing the installation into compliance with NEC 314.20. The difference is the extra-large flange - it bridges mis-cut or oversized openings and gives the device solid support where a standard extender would float in the hole.

The flange accommodates midi and max cover plates as-is, and it is trimmable for use with standard plates - so one extender covers whichever plate the job calls for. Molded from 105°C continuous-use, 94V-0 flame-retardant plastic with a 2-hour fire rating.
