Jonard MS-426 Mid Span Slit & Ring Tool - 5.8 mm to 12 mm Thick-Walled Jackets

Jonard's patented MS-426 Fiber Optic Mid Span Slit and Ring Tool is designed to provide easy access into Prysmian ESMF Optical Mini FlexTube® fiber optic cables, Corning equivalents and other similarly sized cables with thick-walled jackets up to 2.0 mm thick.

The MS-426 consists of 4 precision slitting grooves and 4 ring grooves ranging in size from 5.8mm to 12mm.

Features:

Four slitting and four ringing grooves from 5.8 mm to 12 mm

For thick-walled jackets up to 2.0 mm wall

Ring side makes radial cuts; slit side makes lengthwise cuts

Indicator line on top shows the blade position

Weighs under 8 oz, with a tethering hole

Easy to Use:

Open the appropriate side of the tool, select the correct groove size, then place the cable in the tool and close to lock in place

Note: The arrow on the top of the tool indicates the pulling direction and the line indicates the blade location

Close the tool making sure the lock is engaged and pull to slit the cable

For ring operation use the ring side of the tool and repeat the steps above; instead of pulling, rotate the tool 3-6 times to ring the cable
