The Ripley Tools WS 5A-DA (SKU 38750) is a precision end stripper engineered for splicers, cable jointers, and utility lineworkers preparing primary underground residential distribution (URD) cable for joints, splices, and terminations. It strips XLPE, polyethylene, and EPR insulation up to 400 mils thick, providing insulation-only stripping or simultaneous insulation and semi-con stripping depending on the bushing configuration installed.

This DA (Drill Adapter) model builds on the standard WS 5A by adding a removable 3/8in drill adapter, letting the tool be driven by an electric or battery drill to save time and reduce repetitive-motion strain versus manual cranking. An adjustable strip-stop mechanism with a graduated adjustment window (customary or metric) sets precise strip lengths from 0.625in to 2.5in (15.9-63.5 mm) without needing a hex wrench, while a guarded cutting blade protects both the operator and the blade edge.
